Practical information for visiting the museum.
Discover historic Bergen
The Norwegian Fisheries Museum lies in the historic area Sandviken in Bergen and explains how our rich fisheries history has shaped Norwegian history. The museum is located in old wooden warehouse from the 18’th century. Whole streets of warehouses build on wooden foundations out in the sea, surrounded by canals. Now just a few of these warehouses remain.
